This photograph, taken just before Christmas in 1984, was taken by a descendant of Mr Colban, whose premises Frank's father, Frank Edward Riley, took over when he started his own business in the early years of the twentieth century. The interior of the shop changed very little in appearance from that time until it closed in 1987.
